Manis Iteritas Alia is a voice based on the architecture of Basimilus. It was designed to be grittier and more aggressive by using only sawtooth waves that are manipulated, modulated, and distorted through a rethought interface. Manis Iteritas Alia is fantastic for leads, basslines, drums, darkness, detuned swarminess, or pure mayhem. Plus, MIA’s dedicated envelope output is a great modulation source for the rest of your patch.

LPF is a smooth lowpass filter, perfect for shaping the edginess of a sound. Saw Mod creates effects similar to hard sync or PWM. Profundity adds additional oscillators to the mix, creating a detuned chorusing effect. Smash adds distortion for even more aggressiveness. The bipolar Bash control modulates the LPF, Profundity, and Smash parameters with the internal envelope.

The Skin/Liquid/Metal switch functions the same way as the Basimilus, but sounds very different due to the saw waves used in its algorithms.

The Envelope parameter controls the length of the internal decay envelope and, at maximum, bypasses the internal VCA for free-running oscillation.
