Noise Engineering Fala Versio - Silver
Fala Versio is a unique take on the classic formant filter. While many formant filters attempt to create classic vowel shapes, Fala imparts a vocal quality on any sound while keeping things musical and tonally interesting. Fala’s signal chain is composed of up to 24 bandpass filters and saturators, along with three allpass filters, a wavefolder, and a suite of dynamics-control utilities that keep the output in a friendly range no matter how gnarly the signal gets.
Fala can be as gnarly or nice as you’d like: resonance goes from mild to squelchy, and the pre-filter wavefolder and post-filter saturators can dirty up your signal as much as you need. Along with all those timbral controls, Fala also features a tap-tempo/clockable stereo LFO that can modulate the filters with a sine or noise wave for even more expression and patchability.
Not only is Fala a fantastic filter, it’s also an effects platform. Swap between delays, reverbs, distortions, and more: 10 firmwares are currently available and swapping between them only requires a USB cable and a few clicks.
