Hexinverter Mutant Bass Drum

Mutant Bass Drum combines voltage controlled distortion and one of the most infamous bassdrums.  Hexinverter took one of the most revered bassdrum synthesis designs of all time – the TR-808 and completely redesigned it for use in a modular analogue synthesizer.

Hexinverter Mutant Snare

Designed by Hexinverter, from classic electro snares to warping, alien percussion, the Mutant Snare is a radical departure from the static sounds of the TR-808.

Hexinverter Mutant Clap

The iconic clap sound of the TR-909, but with all the features we all wished the original had. Hexinverter’s take on this design adds some much-needed range and depth. The clap is a highly versatile module – it is a voltage-controlled LFSR noise oscillator as well as a powerful percussion synthesis engine.

Mutant Hi-Hats is a classic electro percussion synthesis design reborn as something completely different. Hexinverter wanted to recreate a classic hi-hat synthesis design as something new and exciting, so they took the super electro 808 circuit and transformed it into a powerful creative tool for modular synthesis.
